Potential Medical Emergencies
A medical emergency may include, but is not limited to:
- Severe, persistent chest pain (especially radiating to arm or jaw with sweating, vomiting or shortness of breath)
- Trouble breathing with chest pain or skin turning blue
- Loss of consciousness
- New weakness or paralysis in the face or limb
- New difficulty speaking, walking or loss of coordination
- Seizures without a previous diagnosis of epilepsy
- Sudden testicular pain and swelling
- Suspected poisoning or drug overdose
- Suspected broken bone with open skin or severe deformity (dislocation)
- Eye injuries or vision loss
- Suicidal thoughts, homicidal thoughts, confusion or hallucinations Abdominal pain or vaginal bleeding while pregnant
- Vomiting blood or coughing up blood
- Major surgery within the last seven days
